Hi gang -

In a few short weeks I'll begin the challenge of a lifetime - my pursuit of the Triple Crown of 200s - that's three 200 mile races in just two months! The Triple Crown is made up of the three original non-repetitive 200 mile trail running courses in the USA and are located in the Cascade Mountains (Bigfoot 206), Lake Tahoe (Tahoe 206) and Moab Utah (Moab 240). Each has more than 80K feet of elevation change.

As I like to say, this is a big hairy scary endeavor that I've spent hours, days, months and even years training for. If you know me than you know my passion for this. While this challenge means a lot to me on so many levels, I want to put the effort to good use and help others. I've got a huge amount of gratitude to have this opportunity and I'm humbled by what's in front of me. However, for many, just getting out to walk can be a challenge. People who need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports is an organization I've been passionate about for years. It was also something my dad and many of you have helped support through my efforts in the past. When my dad passed away nearly three years ago I took some time away from fundraising - quite honestly VA and my efforts were tied so closely with my pops that it was too painful to continue. I still miss him greatly, but I'm ready to dive back in. It's time. And this Triple Crown pursuit seems like a great re-entry point.

For those that aren't aware, Vermont Adaptive provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months.

Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!
Thank you!
