Thanks for visiting my Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page!

As you might recall, before I left for nursing school I was on the Board of Safe Passage, a very important organization.  Every day, Safe Passage helps women and children take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important and this year I'm running behind on fund raising so please consider support today.
I've been in the top 3 individual fundraisers for the past few years and this year I'm running behind. Last year I raised $865 so this year I'd like to top that by raising $900!

On December 8, our family will walk in the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. I walk in honor of all friends, acquaintances, and patients I've met who are surviving or have survived domestic violence. This year I will also be walking to honor the memory of Mei Kum Jones, and her twin infant sons Colt, and Cameron Jones whom it appears were killed by their father/husband in November in Massachusetts.

This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County. Please join me in support of this important organization.

Before I walk or run, I’ve decided to Step Up for Safe Passage, and I’m asking you to join me. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families.

Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$25: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$100: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
