Great trails? You bet! Undiscovered? Maybe not for long. But for now, the trails in and around Sisters, Oregon are, hands-down the best-kept secret for mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding in the state.
And those trails, about 200 miles of them, are built and maintained by the volunteers of Sisters Trails Alliance (STA). In 2021, STA volunteers logged close to 2,000 hours to keep the trails in shape. We are dedicated to maintaining a multi-user, non-motorized trail system that minimizes user conflict and maximizes everyone’s trail experience.
The financial support from our trail users and events like the Sisters Stampede gives STA the resources to sustain our organization and more importantly, provide our volunteers with safety equipment, tools, training, and especially the appreciation & recognition they deserve for all their hard work.
