About Our Event

About Our Cause

This “Grand Bike Do” is modeled on the tradition of European "Gran Fondos." It is a shorter distance but as the name implies, will be great fun for all participants.

This a 38-mile ride through the 7 villages of the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod, MA. In addition, there will be a 10-mile ride for those not wishing to do the entire 38 miles.

Youth rides are included.

The start and end of the ride is at Aselton Park, corner of South Street and Ocean Avenue in Hyannis, MA. Part of the ride will follow the South Coast Bicycle Route, a signed, on-road bicycle route highlighting the villages of Barnstable on comfortable, quiet secondary roadways. Maps of the ride are at the bottom of the page.

The first 288 registrants, age 13 and over, will receive a long-sleeve, quarter zip, wick shirt, and a cycling cap.

Beneficiaries of the event are: Barnstable Land Trust, the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce, Cape Cod Maritime Museum, Mass Bike and Calmer Choice

The ride has four components:

A youth ride for those 6 and under for 500 yards, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
