Local Impact Run/Walk for the Zebra 5K
We are stronger together!
Rare doesn't care! COVID-19 and quarantine has changed everything for most of us. It has taxed our resources and funneled precious giving funds in all sorts of new directions. For rare families, this is simply an added burden. That same need for us to support our rare familes has not changed. They still need us and every dollar you help us raise will directy help these familes!
The local impact Run/Walk for the Zebra 5K is a virtual event. Join the millions of people around the world recognizing Rare Disease Day by showing your stripes and raising awareness and money for children "living rare."
Avery's Hope is a New Hope, Pennsylvania based nonprofit organization raising money and awareness for children with rare, ultra rare and undiagnosed gastrointestinal diseases, assisting with their out-of-pocket and insurance-denied expenses.
As a patient assistance organization we know how hard it is for our patient families to navigate the rare disease journey along with the financial hardship. Thank you to all who have supported our mission through volunteering, sharing information, donating, sponsoring and more.
Avery's Hope supports five major Patient Assistance Programs for GI patient families at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital. The organization also works with the National Organization of Rare Disorders to provide medical assistance for families traveling for second opinions, clinical trials, treatment and more.
New for 2024 is a Travel & Lodging Assistance Program with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia thanks to a generous grant from the RareIs Program at AmGen.
