All,
I writing to inform you that the Wheels of Hope Bike Ride is nearing kickoff yet again this year. I copied the link below where you can register for $35. The race will be held on October 7th (LSU away game). I expect there to be a great turnout this year as it is now the fifth year of the ride and more and more people have participated each year. My dad has done a great job in organizing this and I would like to support not only the true cause, the children of the St. Nicholas Center, but also his efforts in making this charitable event a success. If you would like to donate please see the third link listed below. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Wheels of Hope 2016
Thank you helping us raise funds for the St. Nicholas Center for Children by participating in the Wheels of Hope and our fundraising section. Your contributions and your friends' contributions will be used for needed equipment, scholarships for children that cannot afford the services, therapy, and instruction at the Center. Unfortunately, autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the United States and costs the nation over $238 billion per year. Here are some of the facts:
- About 1 in 45 children has been identified with autism nation-wide according to the Center for Disease Control;
- Autism is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups;
- It is about 4.5 times more common among boys (1 in 42) than among girls (1 in 189);
- Autism receive approximately 5% of government research funding; and
- There is no medical detection or known cure for autism, however, thousands of children have shown significant improvement resulting from early diagnosis and use of effective interventions.
Thank You Again for your support!!
The St. Nicholas Center for Children is a non-profit therapy center for children diagnosed with autism, developmental delays, and neurological disorders. Our goal in hosting this event is to raise funds for the children and families affected by autism in our community. Please join us in raising awareness and funds for these children and help us to change their lives. All of the proceeds for Wheels of Hope come directly to St. Nicholas Center to help offset the cost of therapy for children whose families could otherwise not afford these services.
