I am riding for a cure. I am riding for the children who face a terrible disease and daunting challenges most of us cannot fathom as adults. I am riding for the adults stricken with this terrible disease too. I am riding for the survivors. I am riding for those incredibly strong and selfless people (friends and family alike) who never stop caring for, supporting, and comforting their loved ones who are battling cancer.…no matter how much it hurts. I am riding for those who have lost family and friends to cancer. I am riding for the countless researchers, doctors, nurses, and so many other people that have made helping cancer victims and their families their profession. I am riding because I must never forget how fragile mine and my loved ones health is….and how short our time together can be.
This year's ride on June 11th will be my 10th year participating and I'm hoping to take my cumulative fundraising toward the $20,000 mark in support of the Children's Hope Fund at Baystate Medical Center's Sadowsky Center for Children.
Today I once again gracioiusly ask for your help in supporting my ride so that I can reach my goal to pedal through 100 miles and raise at least $2000. It may sound cliché but any amount, large or small pushes us closer to our goal.
