Ever since I camped out in March (brrr...) with Monte on the Northampton Courthouse lawn a few years back, I thought there had to be a better — or at least a warmer — way to raise money for Cancer Connection, a dynamite local organization that offers support free of charge to individuals living with a cancer diagnosis and their loved ones.

This year, Monte's found it — a fun "Camp-IN" at the historic Hotel Northampton, featuring glamourous Jerry-Lewis style telethon with tuxedos, ball gowns, “celebrity” guests, music, comedy, indoor plumbing and a dance party.

Cancer Connection offers a haven where people with cancer, their loved ones and caregivers can learn to cope with the physical and emotional turmoil that is part of a cancer diagnosis and to explore ways to enhance their strength, their hope and their care through support groups, integrative therapies, creative activities and education. All services are offered free of charge.
