Last year at this time I was camping outdoors on the lawn of the Northampton Court House, camping as part of the Cancer Connection Winter Camp-Out Fund Raiser. With your support, along with the help of many others we were able to raise $100,000! An amazing amount that helped the wonderful work of the Cancer Connection.
This year the fund raiser is a "Camp-IN" being held at the Hotel Northampton. Monte Belmonte, host of WRSI Morning Show will be spinnng stories and dancing to the tunes of a Motown band while he weilds his magical fund raising powers. I will be there along with many others dancing up a storm. If you are local, come join us from 7:00-11:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 22. I would love to dance with you. If you are far away I'll send photos and updates as we raise money through the night.
From my own experience of a breast cancer diagnosis,followed by a mastectomy and a year of healing, I know how deeply important the Cancer Connection.support can be. Kindness, hope, encouragement, integrative therapies, and guidance through some very emotional times, were all part of what I was offered- and all of these services were offered free of any cost. So please help me to support the ongoing work of the Cancer Connection by making a donation and helping me to reach my goal of $500.00 by February 22.

In my own diagnosis of breast cancer Cancer Connection offers a haven where peopps le with cancer, their loved ones and caregivers can learn to cope with the physical and emotional turmoil that is part of a cancer diagnosis and to explore ways to enhance their strength, their hope and their care through support groups, integrative therapies, creative activities and education. All services are offered free of charge.
