Thank you for visiting my BC Race to Educate fundraising page!
On April 29th, I will be on campus at Boston College to participate in the 7th Annual BC Race to Educate. All race proceeds support my school, Saint Columbkille Partnership School. Race proceeds are used to ensure that quality Catholic education is available to all who seek it.
St. Col's is a special place. We are lucky to have found such a combination of educational rigor and caring faculty and staff, who are providing our son Hamish (age 3) with the educational foundation for success in life. St. Col's reaches students of all backgrounds, regardless of faith.
A few facts:
-St. Col's is a partnership with Boston College--nearly all teachers hold a master's degree from BC!
-41% of students receive need-based financial aid, providing students from all socioeconomic backgrounds--most of whom hail from the diverse Brighton neighborhood in Boston--the opportunity to receive a high quality education.
-Our students are diverse--more than 17 languages are spoken by St. Col's families!
-95% of students are reading above grade level, which is remarkable by any measure, and even more so, given that many students are from economically disadvantaged families, and many are from families for whom English is not the primary language.
Please consider a donation to St. Col's of any amount and/or register to run! All donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you!
The Lee family (Chris, Erin, and Hamish)
