Welcome to my JDRF ODRAM fundraising page!
I’m taking part in the 2017 ODRAM, along with hundreds of riders from around the world, to raise money for JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
What inspired me to ride:
What made me decide to ride was the inspiration to do something I never thought I was capable of taking part in. I completed my first century ride two years ago which consisted of 100-miles in a single day. Having grown up, I've learned over the course of the last 10 years you can do anything you put your mind towards and I want to prove that to myself. I'll be riding for a purpose that day both on a personal front and the JDRF organization. I hope you can donate and help me reach my goal of 500.00 but also help make a difference for this great organization.
Did you know T1D:
- Strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle.
- Occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin is essential to turning food into energy.
- Requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
JDRF is working every day to change this. And every dollar I raise helps them continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.

ODRAM (One Day Ride Across Michigan)
Be a part of one of the Michigan traditions - 150ish miles in one day or One Day Ride Across Michigan.
You can start by dipping your rear wheel in Lake Michigan and finish by dipping your front wheel in Lake Huron. This ride is a benefit for the JDRF - Working to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. To learn more about JDRF and the West Michigan Chapter visit http://greatlakeswest.jdrf.org/
