This year brings our 4th annual charity food, wine and cycling event The Crush Challenge to Napa Valley on Saturday, October 14.
The primary beneficiary of the event is the Professorship my father created at UC Davis with Dr. Tuscano to research non-toxic cures for cancer. We have also added the Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's and we continue to support Boys and Girls Club Teen Center of Napa. I hope you will consider joining the ride and helping us fundraise for our Great charities!

If you do not cycle or would just prefer to enjoy the harvest rather than get a little exercise the Private Barrel Tasting at ZD Wines is a great alternative. The Market Place which follows The Private Ride or Barrel Tasting is a great way to spend a morning in the Napa Valley whether you want to ride or not. Then it is time to enjoy our afternoon Market Place with great Napa Wineries and Restaurants continuing the fun while Amy Hogan entertains everyone with her band the Bee-Rays. The VIP Celebrity Chef Dinner at the new Los Alcobas resort in St. Helena will be an epic evening. We hope you can join us for all or any portion of the afternoon and or evening.

THE BEST WAY TO SEE NAPA VALLEY...
Experience the beauty of Napa Valley on a private cycling excursion (27 or 38 mile options) that will depart from the Veterans Home of California, located on the hill above the Napa Valley's dining mecca, Yountville. Take the wheel of our hosts as you pass through vineyard lined avenues sharing the road with the friends of The Crush Challenge, which has previously included cycling pros past and present Alex Steida, Freddie Rodriguez, Alison Tetrick, Bob Roll, Chris Carmichael, Brent & Jamie Bookwalter, Levi Leipheimer, and Christian Vande Velde to name a few. Complete ride support will be provided by SRAM & Napa River Velo, as well as a unique stop-over ('rest stop') at the ZD Rutherford Estate. Following the ride, indulge in The Food & Wine Marketplace! Participants share their stories of the "Crush" as post-ride entertainment paired with delicious food and wine from many Napa Valley Restaurants and Wineries will round out the afternoon.

The Crush Challenge is proud to announce that former professional cyclists and members of the venerated Team 7-Eleven that first brought the USA to the Tour de France will be joining us for our private ride, where they will be riding in support of their teammate Davis Phinney and his foundation for Parkinson's. This is your opportunity to catch the wheel (and a story or two) from the athletes that traveled the world in pursuit of yellow and pink jerseys, medals and glory on the cobblestones of the classics.
The Crush Challenge was established in 2014 as a way to showcase the best of the Napa Valley while bringing awareness and funding to a select group of worthy charity efforts. Whether you join us for one of our incredible food and wine events, the private ride, or perhaps the entire weekend, we are excited to see you at the 4th Annual Crush Challenge, hosted by ZD Wines.
