Meghan's Light will be participating in #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. During this beautiful season of giving, we ask that you please consider making a donation to Meghan's Light to help those impacted by CF. We have worked closely with the Boston Children's Hospital CF Social Work team and they have shared with us some of the unforeseen expenses a typical CF family incurs. For example, a typical 10 day hospital stay may include the following expenses: food, gas, tolls, parking expenses, copay and/or uncovered medical device costs. These expenses can become costly. We created a sample list below to show how your donation can help alleviate some of the financial burdens CF families incur at Boston Children's Hospital and included some other items that can help them to live longer, fuller lives.

$10 - copays, meal gift cards (Au Bon Pain in Boston Children's hospital), parking garage fees, tolls
$25 - copay, gas gift card
$50 - gas gift card, groceries
$100 - groceries
$200- chromebook
$225 - hotel stay nearby hospital
$250 - Meghan's Light Wellness Wish (Please visit www.meghanslight.com to learn about our newest initiative.)
$330- 36GB iPad (to help CF patients maintain a relationship with other CF patients since they are advised not to share space with other patients due to the transfer of infection)
$1000-$1500 - Holiday gifts for a CF family

Also, if you choose to support something specific, please send an email indicating the specific area and we will direct the gift directly toward it.

Meghan's Light 5th Annual 5k Road Race & Family Fun Walk!

 Saturday, October 5, 2019

The mission of Meghan's Light is to support finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and to inspire hope and courage in patients, families and communities impacted by the disease.

Grinder Lunch provided to all paying participants.

Once again, there will be amazing RAFFLES. So, pleases bring some extra money to purchase raffle tickets & support this great event!

Event Timing:
8:30am-10:30am: Check-In for Pre-Registered Participants & Race Day Registration**
10:30am:  Kids' Fun Runs
11:00am: Start of 5k Road Race & Family Fun Walk 

**Registration will close promptly at 10:30am

Event Details:

Your Registration Fee Includes: event t-shirt* & parking fee.
*Event T-Shirts are guaranteed to all paying participants who register by September 5, 2019.

If the participant is under the age of 18, he or she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 
All children aged 12 & under can participate in the walk for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Kids' Fun Runs:
*We will be hosting FREE Fun Runs for kids based on their ages:
2-4 years of age
5-7 years of age
8-10 years of age

* Kids' Fun Runs are contingent upon favorable weather & ground conditions.

As a tribute to Meghan's courageous legacy, the funds raised from this event will benefit:

Baystate Health & Boston Children's Hospital:

• 65 Wellness Wishes: Meghan's Light 65 Wellness Wishes grants 65 health-focused awards for wellness memberships and activities for cystic fibrosis patients at Boston Children's Hospital and will expand this fall to patients at the Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Cystic Fibrosis Program at Baystate Health in Springfield, MA. The target number 65 references sixty-five roses, a term used since 1965 by young children with cystic fibrosis trying to pronounce the name of their disease. 

Boston Children's Hospital:

• Cystic Fibrosis Discovery Fund: Supports Pulmonary and Respiratory Disease research
• Extraordinary Needs Fund: Supporting patient care, staff education, new technologies and treatments, and other initiatives as needed in the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic.
