With this ride, I am raising funds for Barnstable Land Trust. Why? Because I work at BLT and it's the best job in the world. I am so committed that I am spending my personal time, energy and money to support this fantastic organization. I want to ensure that the Cape Cod I love will be here for my kids and grandkids. This precious place is so important to me because I love being outside in nature more than almost anything - and because conserving land helps protect our drinking water and the bays and ocean we enjoy. Not to mention all the plants and critters that our future depends on...

Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) is the only private nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preserving the open spaces and natural resources within the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod. BLT is supported by generous contributions from the community and from our members. BLT is currently the steward of 1,096 acres of land in Barnstable’s seven villages.
BLT preserves land that protects wildlife habitat, scenic vistas, sensitive watersheds, wetlands, forests and other valuable open space. Our protected lands are held in their natural state in perpetuity for the benefit of the community and future generations.
Land is acquired through outright gifts, bequests, “bargain sales” (purchases below market value) or neighborhood-driven fundraising and purchase. The land entrusted to our care is managed with the help of volunteers to protect vital resources. Our Walks & Talks Program provides opportunities to learn about local natural resources and connect with the land.

Tour de Barnstable: Barnstable Land Trust
This “Grand Bike Do” is modeled on the tradition of European "Gran Fondos." It is a shorter distance but as the name implies, will be great fun for all participants! This a 38-mile ride through the 7 villages of the Town of Barnstable on Cape Cod, MA.
