Thanks for visiting my Shamrock Half fundraising page! As you may know I have been an employee and volunteer of the American Red Cross for just over 3 years. I have been on 2 Major Disaster Deployments in my career and have seen first hand where the funds we raise go.
On March 24, 2018 I’ll be volunteering at a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) in Manchester, NH benefiting the American Red Cross of New Hampshire of Vermont's campaign to "Sound the Alarm" - and save lives!!
Every day 7 people die in US home fires. Most in homes that lack working smoke alarms, with children and the elderly being disproportionately affected. The American Red Cross responds to an emergency every 17 hours here in New Hampshire. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross assists 24/7 so our neighbors can have clean water, shelter and hot meals when they need them most. .
This race is raising money for the Red Cross Sound the Alarm initiative in the Greater Manchester Community. Our goal is to install 1,000 smoke alarms in vulnerable neighborhoods, identified in partnership with the Manchester Fire Department.
