Caitlin, Chris and I will be running our first race together at the Shamrock Shuffle this year! (First 2 mile race without a stroller for Caitlin!! She's planning to run/walk on her own power!)
This year they are offering a fundraising challenge for people running as a team. Caitlin picked the team name "Run for Hugs!" If you'd like to donate or cheer on Caitlin, you can do it through the team page: https://www.pledgereg.com/2503/Team/7460. Fundraising will close this Saturday, March 17th and the race itself will be on Sunday, March 25th.
Thanks for visiting my Shamrock Shuffle fundraising page! The picture above is from a couple of years ago when Caitlin cheered me on at a previous race.
On March 25th, 2018 I’ll be running the Shuffle (2 miles) in Manchester, NH benefiting the American Red Cross of New Hampshire of Vermont's campaign to "Sound the Alarm" - and save lives!!
Every day 7 people die in US home fires. Most in homes that lack working smoke alarms, with children and the elderly being disproportionately affected. The American Red Cross responds to an emergency every 17 hours here in New Hampshire. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross assists 24/7 so our neighbors can have clean water, shelter and hot meals when they need them most. .
This race is raising money for our Sound the Alarm initiative in the Greater Manchester Community. Our goal is to install 1,000 smoke alarms in vulnerable neighborhoods, identified in partnership with the Manchester Fire Department. Please join me with a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Your donation supports the American Red Cross and all contributions are tax deductible. Together we can save lives!
