I thought of my son’s new elementary school on the day of the Sandy Hook shooting and it scared me to the bones. Being a life-long cyclist I was honored when asked to help work as a support person for Team 26 in 2017. During that journey I met victims, family members, law enforcement, and politicians and was moved by their stories. This year I will be riding with Team 26 during the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington from Newtown, CT to Washington D.C. May 5- May 8. Please help us end gun violence and bring about the sensible gun laws that most Americans want and that our children and communities deserve. Thank you.

Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
For the 6th time, 26 cyclists will ride to honor the 26 killed at the Sandy Hook School and all victims of gun violence, to raise awareness of the public health crisis of gun violence, and to support common sense measures to reduce it. We will ride Newtown, Connecticut to Washington, D.C. from May 5 to May 8, 2018 Our ride will take us towards and through states that are working to reduce gun violence. Until members of the Congress do their jobs and pass laws to make Americans safer instead of offering thoughts and prayers for victims, we will continue to ride.
