On December 14, 2012 I experienced both the worst and the best in humanity. The memories of that day will be forever etched in my consciousness like an unresectable brain tumor. The horror that so many people experienced on that day is inexplicable, and despite all that has been attempted to reduce gun violence, it continues to accelerate in the United States.
Since childhood, riding has been the perfect escape, and has embodied much of what I enjoy in life. To combine the remembrance of Sandy Hook, the cause to reduce gun violence, with riding is the ultimate union.
It is an honor to be part of this timeless project. If Team 26 is able to prevent a single tear from being shed, or the loss of a single life, our efforts will be worthwhile.
Congress needs to reauthorize funding to the CDC to research on gun violence. Without the science to back claims; they are only claims. Gun violence needs to be treated like the epidemic that it is.
I ride for all those that have needlessly lost their lives to gun violence.
Please consider making a small donation to support our mission to ride as a team of 26 from the Sandy Hook School to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. to advocate for stricter gun control laws.

Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
For the 6th time, 26 cyclists will ride to honor the 26 killed at the Sandy Hook School and all victims of gun violence, to raise awareness of the public health crisis of gun violence, and to support common sense measures to reduce it. We will ride Newtown, Connecticut to Washington, D.C. from May 5 to May 8, 2018 Our ride will take us towards and through states that are working to reduce gun violence. Until members of the Congress do their jobs and pass laws to make Americans safer instead of offering thoughts and prayers for victims, we will continue to ride.
