On Saturday June 23rd I will be riding 100 miles in The Ride for Mental Health
to raise money for mental health research.
As many of you know the issues of mental illness have affected my family
and so this is a cause that closely touches my heart.
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health.
The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate,
for the education, research and treatment of mental illness including anxiety,
borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse.
The ride also hopes to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness.
Many, if not most, of us are touched by close friends and relatives
who have suffered with one type or another of mental illness.
Any contribution to this worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated.
Every dollar donated will go towards research.
Thank you for your support!
Love, Barbara
