Hello family and friends. It is that time of the year, its ERRACE time. For those of you who have supported me in the past as we try to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer, I can't thank you enough. If you are new here, thank you for considering to donate . In 2017, my Facebook family and friends helped me raise $8500 for ERRACE.org.
For 2018, my goal is to raise $9,000. Last year I did a 10x100 on my bicycle, that is 100 miles per day for 10 consecutive days leading up to the July 8th event. For 2018, it looks like my "Stupid Human Trick", as we so affectionately call them, will be called, "400 on 100". What is that you say? I'll explain. The 400, is miles. The 100, is the route number. Route 100 is a 213 mile long road in Vermont. It starts at the Canadian border and ends at the Massachusetts border. My plan is to start at the MA/VT border on Saturday July 6th and ride to the Canadian border. I will spend the night at the the border and then on Sunday, July 7th, I will ride from Canada to the VT/MA border. "400 (actually 426) on 100".
Thank you for your continued support. As most of you know, I do this ride in memory of my sister in law Susan who we lost to cancer three years ago this coming summer. Again this year, in addition to riding in Susan's memory, I am riding in honor of my cycling friend, Daren Casey of the Cycling Concepts Race Team. Sad to report that since first writing this, Daren passed away on Thursday April 26, 2018. "Living The Dream" is my motto this year. It's the answer Daren always gave when asked how he was doing, no matter how sick he was.
