Welcome to my Juvenile Diabetes Reasearch Foundation's (JDRF) Ride to Cure and One Day Ride Across Michigan  (ODRAM) fundraising page!

What started out as a friendly competetition in the fall of 2015, end up turing into a major lifestyle chgange for me- including both diet and exercise. I have become a cycling enthusiast!  As of the spring of 2017, i have achieved a "normal healthy weight" in losing more than 48% of my body mass. While the journey is far from over, the first leg of the trek is nearly complete.  In August of 2017 I cyclyed in my first ODRAM, the expierence was incredible and I am looking foward to the 2018 ride.  I would like to thank everyone that supported me in the 2017 ride and hope for your continued support in 2018.

I’m taking part in the 2018 ODRAM on Saturday, August 11, 2018  along with hundreds of riders from around the world, to raise money for JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

Did you know T1D:

- Strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle.

- Occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin is essential to turning food into energy.

 - Requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.

JDRF is working every day to change this. And every dollar I raise helps them continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.

I have been hard at work training and fundraising, and your gift today will propel me toward the finish line. Please donate and help JDRF achieve its goal of a world without T1D.

Please check back to view my fundraising progress as my ODRAM weekend approaches. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

 Justin Endres
