Hello, visitor to my Ergathon Page!
I'm a Novice rower and I'm also learning to cox. Coxing allows me to read the river as I steer the boat for a team of eight rowers. Nothing like supportive camaradarie. And there's the stunning sunrises at 5:30 when the world is hushed. I may catch a heron, still and fishing or maybe on the wing.
I grew up near the river but only found access as an adult. "As we push from the dock for the first time in an eight, I feel the slight rock of the boat as we slide away, now on our own and on the river. The thrill runs through me."
Your support helps to keep "Masters" rowers like me, competitors, and the youth programs out on the Connecticut River. Please keep NCR thriving!
Come check out the Ergathon and huge thanks for your pledge!
NCR Ergathon 2018
2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Northampton Community Rowing Ergathon!
All funds rasied by the NCR Ergathon directly support the programs we offer for both youth and adults. We are committed, as a non-profit community organization, to making sure everyone is exposed to rowing regardless of economic status.
Donate to an individual, a team, or directly to NCR, and remember that we would not be here, on the water, without your generous support.
Thank You!
In gratitude from all the members of Northampton Community Rowing
