Northampton Community Rowing has been offering a range of programs for the larger Pioneer Valley for 20 years! We are lucky to have such an incredible resource in our backyard.
I started rowing 6 years ago. I never thought I would fall in love with this sport that has challenged me both physically and mentally each day I take to the water. In addition to the challenges, the community is incredible and I'm so proud to be a part of it. Our club also aims to increase access to the river for all.

NCR Ergathon 2018
2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Northampton Community Rowing Ergathon!
All funds rasied by the NCR Ergathon directly support the programs we offer for both youth and adults. We are committed, as a non-profit community organization, to making sure everyone is exposed to rowing regardless of economic status.

Northampton Community Rowing is a non-profit community organization that is dedicated to exposing youth and adults to the sport of rowing.
We offer year round programs for youth and adults to experience recreational as well as competitive rowing.
Our mission:
WE STRIVE TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Develop sportsmanship, fitness, rowing skills, teamwork, friendship, cooperation and enjoyment for young people and adults through safe and challenging rowing activities
- Enable and promote athletic and personal achievement for adult and youth rowers as team members and individuals
- Develop the leadership skills of young people and adults, and the organizational capacity to endure and thrive
- Promote stewardship of the Connecticut River as a recreational and environmental resource
- Encourage the development of facilities, river access, and programs that benefit community rowing activities
