First and foremost a Big Thanks to all of my family and friends that have donated in years past! As most of you know I have been racing and supporting this amazing event for several years. For those of you that do not know what ERRACE (pronounced E-race) is or what we do, in a nut shell we are local charity organization that stands for Everyone Rides Runs Against Cancer Every day. 100% yes 100% of all of your donations go directly to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center in CT. and also the Livestrong Foundation. One of the biggest reasons I enjoy supporting this event is the two organizations directly help cancer patients and survivors now. There are countless charity events that raise money for "awareness and research". Which is great and all but what about the folks that are going through it now, or the survivors that are told they are cancer free and the doctor says "All clear see you next year!". Now what!?!? This is where I encourage you to take a closer look at the Livestrong Foundation.

As for myself each race season I contribute all of my race winnings directly to the charity. Last season alone I was able to donate just under 2000.00. In addition, our team likes to do what we call "Stupid Human Tricks" These are rides that we do on our bikes that a none cyclist would deem stupid (and some cyclists too). Currently some team members are embarking on 400+ mile ride that they will complete in just two days! They will rise bright and early on a Saturday and ride their road bikes form the MA/VT boarder at RT 100 and ride along RT.100 all the way to the Canadian border and then rise early again to ride the entire route south!! Insane!

For me I am not a big road cyclist so I will be taking my S.H.T. to the dirt! Right now, the plan is coming together but it is looking like this fall I will set out for 100-mile self-supported adventure in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. There is going to be a lot of climbing for sure and I am going to aim for a 10-hour time mark. All in the name of ERRACE!

I hope and thank you for your generous support to this great cause. I am sure we have all known someone who has been affected by this awful disease and how difficult it can be without the greatest care they can get!
