On September 22nd, I will be riding in the 6th Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour. This is a community sponsored event held each year in the towns of Copake, Hillsdale and Ancram, NY, — where I typically ride on my own. The event supports the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, a paved bicycle/pedestrian path built on the railbed of the old Harlem Line of the New York Central Railroad.

While I mostly ride on the open roads in the country, I believe the rail trail is ideal for so many people — runners, bicyclists, walkers, rollerbladers, cross-county skiers, wheelchair users, hikers and dog walkers.  The long-term goal is to connect multiple towns spanning 50 miles; short-term, the next step is to connect two existing pieces.

I hope you can support this cause!

And if you’d like to join me on the ride, you can sign up here: https://www.roejanramble.org/

Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer,

Peggy
