Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation! Although I initially signed up for this half marathon to continue the momentum gained in training for and running my first marathon, I recently learned that the proceeds from the race will benefit the healthcare community for which I work!! So, how can I not fundraise for this important cause?! Here are the details...
On January 27, 2019, I’ll be running in the Clearwater Running Festival and to support Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation. All proceeds from the race will benefit their cancer support programs and services.
For over 40 years, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation has provided philanthropic support to Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater; Mease Dunedin Hospital; Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor; and Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey.
Through heartfelt community support, the Foundation provides funding for 10 programs aimed at granting a renewed sense of possibility to survivors and their loved ones. These initiatives encompass every moment that cancer touches people’s lives, from prevention and diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.
The Foundation also provides funding for the latest technology aimed at fighting this dreaded disease.

Clearwater Running Festival
The Clearwater Running Festival is home to America’s #1 beach and is just 22 miles from Tampa on Florida’s stunning west coast. Clearwater boasts an endless supply of sun, warm weather, great dining and is a prime location for a running festival.
All of our courses in the Clearwater Running Festival take you past some of the most beautiful scenery with spectacular views of the Gulf and city. 50k and Marathon participants will get to enjoy the peaceful Pinellas Trail on their way to the finish line. Finisher medals, post-race refreshments, overall and age group awards are just some of the take aways from this popular event.
With a 50k, Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5-Miler, 5k and Relay – there is a distance for everyone!
