Hello friends and family!

This summer I've signed up to run the Vermont 100k. I will spend the next hours, days, and months triaing for the Vermont 100k. I will be able to lace my shoes, plop Harley is the jogging stroller and head out my door (ok--Chris will probably push Harley in the jogging stroller along side me). While training will be a physical challenge for me, it won't be a logisitcal challenge.

For some people getting out there for a walk can be a challenge. Some people need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. They’re programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months.

With that in mind, I've committed to raising money for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports in addition to running the race. Vermont Adaptive is a great organization. During my last ultra race, I got to run next to a Vermont Adaptive athlete and his coaches. The athlete was blind, but able to navigate the rocky trails because his coaches verbalized the trail conditions and alerted him to the rocks and roots on his path. In law school, I worked with an adaptive sports program in Washington to help kids learn to ski! It is such a great joy to share my enthusiasm with everyone and Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports allows me to do that.

Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!
Thank you!
