Hello friends and family!
Competing in the VT 100 is a challenge that I look forward to meeting this summer as part of the 2019 Grand Slam of Ultrarunning. The Grand Slam of Ultrarunning consists of running four of the five most prestigious and oldest 100 mile races contested in the United States, the Old Dominion 100 Mile Endurance Run in Virginia, the Western States 100 in California, of course the Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run in Vermont, the Leadville Trail 100 in Colorado, and the Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run in Utah. A small number of people manage to complete four in one calendar year or to be more exact, in just over 3 months during the course of one summer. It has taken me 5 years to get to this point as most of these races now have to reply on selecting runners via lotteries due to the increase on popularity of thoese races. I have spent years training for this opportunity, it is something that I have been passionate about.

But I still consider myself very lucky and fortunate to even pursue my passion and while I've had my own health challenges in the apst, there are people out there for whom just getting out to walk can be a challenge. People who need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months.

Having the ability to take on the challenge of the Grand Slam, I felt it only appropriate to try to do something to help others achieve their dreams and goals as well. Would you please consider joining me in donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!

Thank you very much for you help and support!
