Hello everyone,
I am reaching out again for another fundraising cause! I am sorry…I am addicted to raising money for good causes. I know most of you received my email at Thanksgiving about Monte’s March for food security, walking 43 miles over 2 days for our local food bank.
Now I’m joining Monte, for another wacky, crazy fundraising event of his by camping out overnight in the winter, on the cold ground of Northampton City Hall on February 27.
We are raising money for Cancer Connection, a local organization supporting all those that struggle with cancer…the survivors, their families and friends.

I am dedicating this Campout to my niece, Meaghan Collins, who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, at the age of 10. She spent 10 years in and out of hospitals in NJ and she is a SURVIVOR; she just celebrated her 27th birthday! Her struggle with cancer was brutal for her and her loved ones. Looking back as one of her main caregivers, some of the much-needed relief came to us from organizations that do exactly what Cancer Connection does.
I am doing this campout now because my physical body CAN! Please consider a gift to Cancer Connection.
And please help keep me warm during the Campout with your donations!
Please donate to my team: https://www.pledgereg.com/206605
I am a team and my team members are you that are reading this!
Our collective goal is to raise $50,000, all going to Cancer Connection! My team goal is $5000.
Thank you for your support, Chia
Cancer Connection Campout
Due to the overwhelming amount of love towards our favorite local cancer organization, Cancer Connection, and due to the overwhelming feedback from previous campers, we are camping out again. And we are camping out again...in the cold. And this time, for more dramatic effect, we are camping out in even more coldness.
Starting 6AM Wednesday February 27th (Yes. FEBRUARY!) until at least 10AM the following morning, we will be back out on the old courthouse lawn in Northampton.

Information about the Campout, including the entertainment schedule, will be posted at WRSI.
Monte started the event 13 years ago as a publicity stunt and raised $5,000 camping out by himself. Over the years, together with the fundraising our amazing campers have done, he has helped Cancer Connection raise $523,000 and a priceless amount of awareness.
How can you help?
Donate! Give through a camper and help them meet their goal of raising $1000 per tent. Search through the "donate to a participant or team" section.
Stop by in person and enjoy the spectacle and the entertainment! Writing a check? Bringing your piggybank? Make your gift at the Campout!
The Campout is happening at the foot of the Old Courthouse downtown at the corner of Main and Gothic streets.
Together, we can support Monte as he works tirelessly to make it fun for people to give. It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for Cancer Connection. Every dollar raised helps a person facing cancer. Please make a donation to support this critical resource.
