Hi!
My name is Caitlin and I am a cancer survivor. Fifteen months ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and went through surgery and intense chemotherapy. I was lucky enough to have the incredible support of my wonderful sons, friends, family, neighbors and my partner Matt. I also found amazing support and strength at the Cancer Connection. It was so helpful and truly invaluable to meet and talk with other people going through the same thing. The support group and services they provide are incredible as are the staff and volunteers. I can't say enough about how much it helped me get through this past year.
All this being said, I wanted a chance to give back to them for all that they gave me and all that they provide for those with cancer and their families. Please consider donating to this amazing place!
So, my partner Matt Anderson and I are going to help Monte raise funds for Cancer Connection by camping out in the cold in downtown Northampton! (crazy, right??!!)
Please help me support the hundreds of people in Western Massachusetts and beyond who are living with cancer, along with their loved ones, who benefit from Cancer Connection's one-to-one guidance, support and programs.
Cancer Connection offers a haven where people with cancer, their loved ones and caregivers can learn to cope with the physical and emotional turmoil that is part of a cancer diagnosis and to explore ways to enhance their strength, their hope and their care through support groups, integrative therapies, creative activities and education. All services are offered free of charge.

Cancer Connection Campout
Due to the overwhelming amount of love towards our favorite local cancer organization, Cancer Connection, and due to the overwhelming feedback from previous campers, we are camping out again. And we are camping out again...in the cold. And this time, for more dramatic effect, we are camping out in even more coldness.
Starting 6AM Wednesday February 27th (Yes. FEBRUARY!) until at least 10AM the following morning, we will be back out on the old courthouse lawn in Northampton.

Monte started the event 13 years ago as a publicity stunt and raised $5,000 camping out by himself. Over the years, together with the fundraising our amazing campers have done, he has helped Cancer Connection raise $523,000 and a priceless amount of awareness.
How can you help?

The Campout is happening at the foot of the Old Courthouse downtown at the corner of Main and Gothic streets.
