First off, thank you for considering donating to this cause. I will be participating in the 100-mile distance for this event. This will be my first 100-mile, one day ride. I have chosen to make a career out of helping those who are struggling with mental illness. Every day I have the privilege to work with some of the most resilient individuals I have ever met. I often find myself inspired by their strength. So, I figure if these individuals can inspire me with their strength, I can be strong enough to push through 100 miles on my bike. I am asking for your support by donating to this great cause. Donate in honor of our friends and family who may struggle with mental illness and in remembrance of those we lost because of mental illness.
For too long Mental illness has forced people into the dark and I’m hoping with our small contributions, together we can begin to change that.
The Ride for Mental Health 2019
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
Eric's Ride Inc. is a New York not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. 100% of rider pledges will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
