Welcome to my Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) Ride to Cure and One Day Ride across Michigan (ODRAM) fundraising page!

In 2015, I challenged myself to make a lifestyle change and I ended up becoming a cycling enthusiast! In 2017, I found out about the One Day Ride Across Michigan and that their benificiary was the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Having seen how Juvenile Diabetes has affected children of close friends, this seemed like a way to continue my journey and support a great cause at the same time.

I'm proud to be participating in the One Day Ride and raising money for JDRF for the third year in a row!

I will be riding Saturday, August 10,2019 along with hundreds of riders from around the world.  We ride to raise money for JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, and hope that a cure is found soon.

Did you know T1D:

- Strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. 

- Occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin is essential to turning food into energy. 

 - Requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.

JDRF is working every day to change this. Every dollar I raise helps them continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.

Be a part of one of the Michigan traditions - 150ish miles in one day or One Day Ride Across Michigan.
