I have been an EEG tech for the last 9 years and work with VCU health. I have always been a big supporter for Epilepsy awareness and wanted the best for all the patients I have encountered in my career. In late 2017 my 5 year old son Ryan was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Since finding out we have done everything we possibly can to get him the best care and treatment he needs. Everyday is a new adventure and we are always looking for what’s next or what else can we do to help him in this Journey. Ryan is the happiest, most loving, and silliest little boy and is loved dearly by many. His courage to fight Epilepsy and this daily battle is enough to keep anyone going! He can always light up a room and put a smile on anyones face even in his worst of times. People are often surprised when they find out Ryan has Epilepsy because he is so strong and does not let his battle bring him down. I will be riding in honor of my son Ryan and for the others who fight the battle against Epilepsy everyday. Please help me to reach my goal and spread awareness.
