Hello friends and fam, thanks for checking out my fundraising page! This will be my seventh Sandy Hook Ride on Washington and I am overwhelemed by the support my friends and family have provided over the years. It means so much to me and the team and most importantly all those impacted by gun violence.
I ride alongside the rest of Team 26 for sensible gun laws, campus safety, and non-violence. Most of all, I ride to serve. My cousin Reema Samaha was tragically killed during the mass shooting at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007. I miss her dearly. People handle tragedy differently, and I am simply trying to make her proud. What is most important to me is staying positive and creating meaningful change in order to prevent similar tragedies in the future. I dedicate much of my life to Reema by advocating for campus safety and non-violence. Whether it is organizing the annual charity ride, attending a candlelight vigil, or something as simple as spending more time with my own sister Adrienne, I serve Reema and her everlasting memory.
This year's ride is especially emotional because we lost our Team 26 captain, David Hoyle a few weeks ago. He will be missed and we ride in his honor. #ridelikedave
Thanks again for your support and contributions. Ride on!

P.S. we had some technical difficulties with this fundraising page before the ride, but as always your contributions help this ride be successful and continue to grow.

THE WE ARE ONE RIDE
Team 26 will ride from Newtown to Pittsburgh.
We will leave Newtown on April 26th and arrive in Pittsburgh on May 2nd with stops in Peekskill, Morristown, Trenton, Philadelphia, the University of Delaware, Baltimore, Gettysburg, and many small towns.
Our message remains the same:
Peace, Hope, Love.
To reduce gun violence, we must all come together as one Nation to stomp out hate.
So, we'll ride to Pittsburgh uniting Newtown with Squirrel Hill and all communities in between.
We will ride with Charlestown, Christchurch, Sutherland Springs, and Oak Creek in our hearts.
An attack on one faith is an attack on all faiths.
