To all,
First, I must say THANK YOU for taking the time and interest in showing your support to a great cause! Second, take a moment to embrace all the beauty that our lives have afforded us to cherish and to recognize that mental health should be regarded as a priority in our lives, much like physical health. There are a countless numbers of individuals who put on a brave face everyday to fight an inner struggle that is not always seen, heard, or evident, except for those who fight that inner battle against anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and many other disorders or conditions that need to be recognized and cared for. I ask for your support of a great cause; not to support me as I ride 50 miles, but to support the individuals who need our help and support. The stigma that surrounds mental illness needs to be defeated and eradicated from the discussion of health in general so those in need do not feel shame or weakness and that they know support is there to help those living with a mental illness conquer their adversity.
We thank you for your support and let's get behind a great cause!
Regards,
Daniel
The Ride for Mental Health 2019
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
Eric's Ride Inc. is a New York not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. 100% of rider pledges will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
