Two years ago, I completed my first-ever Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb. To this day, it remains the toughest race I've ever done. It's basically a 7.6-mile, all uphill bike race to the highest peak in the Northeastern U.S.

Of course, I had to do it again. I tried last year, but was unable to finish -- I ended up in an ambulance due to a reaction from medicine I was taking to treat poison ivy.

This year, I'm hoping the third time is a charm. Despite the difficulties I've faced in the past, I am looking forward to finally conquering Mt. Washington by not only finishing, but topping my 2017 time.

But I need your help! The race not only tests you mentally and physically, it raises money for a great organization, Tin Mountain Conservation Center (TMCC), which has provided environmental education to over 75,000 students, campers, and individuals throughout the Northeast for over 33 years. As part of this year's race, I'm hoping to raise at least $350 for TMCC. You can learn about the great work they are doing at www.tinmountain.org/.

Thank you for support and wish me luck as I climb Mt. Washington yet again on Saturday, August 17!
