Welcome to the Commute Options fundraising page! We are excited to raise money for the Safe Routes to School program, teaching kids how to ride bikes safely. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated. These funds will go to maintaining program bikes and purchasing helmets to give to students.
Thank you!
Bend Fat Tire Tour - Commute Options
The Bend Fat Tire Tour is the end of season strap the helmet on riding and shuttle Festival in Bend, Oregon in Mid September.
The events roots are in the Big Bend Fat Tire Tour produced by COTA to which I participated in and many of you reading this did as well. Make no mistake some of the mystery may be gone from the early days in Bend for mountain biking, but with a whole new generation coming up and plenty of us “Old timers” around to ride our mountain bikes on some of the best Singletrack ever.
From a single day stroll around the trails of Bend, or a weekend adventure and even a 5 day all inclusive experience package, Bend, Oregon is your place to base your next Oregon mountain bike adventure.
Special Thanks to 10 Barrel Brewing! Without their support, this event would not be back on the trail. Last year with their support and others we raised 8300 from this event towards the Boys and Girls Club MTB program and in total 21,000 was raised to get kids on bikes that would not have an opportunity.
Join the Bend Fat Tire Tour and 10 Barrel Brewing for a great time on two wheels and Ride, relax and repeat all weekend long and support our fundraising partners for 2019 in the Timber Trail and Commute Options.
The Bend Fat Tire Tour is supporting the Safe Routes to School program run by Commute Options. Through the Safe Routes to School Program we are able to teach students grade K-8 how to use the roadway safely as a pedestrian and when riding bikes. Not only do we teach practical skills like how to use hand signals and stop signs, but we also give these students the self-awareness and self-confidence necessary for being strong, independent, and healthy people.
