Samuel is doing great. Just recently he got access to an updated software on his insulin pump, allowing better diabetes control than ever before. However, it would be amazing if a cure is out there in the future.
This is why I do this every year, not just another bike ride, but an opportunity to help JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, finding a cure for T1D.
Due to COVID-19 the ride has been cancelled, but I will be riding my smart trainer from home, 150 miles, and will broadcast live. I'm planning on having Samuel riding with me. Stay tuned for updates :)
