Join me as I help Joe Bator raise $50,000 for Friends of Aine! Joe has been a staunch supporter of Friends of Aine and the services it provides for years, and as he celebrates his 50th birthday, he's raising $50,000 while running a 50K! We can help him, too. I am joining him for part of the event in order to help raise funds for this important cause.
Joe's 50/50/$50K - Raising Funds for Friends of Aine
For his 50th birthday, Joe Bator wanted to show that age is only a number! He has pledged to run 50K in 2020 for Friends of Aine, an organization to which he has dedicated time and treasure over the years. His goal is to raise $50,000, but he needs your help!
On Sunday, August 9, Joe will be running his 50th Birthday 50K. Interested participants can donate to the cause on this page, run a portion (or all) of the distance with Joe, or just cheer Joe on!
The event will take place on the Millennium Running Anytime 5K course, which starts at Millennium Running's retail store and headquarters located at 138 Route 101 in Bedford, NH. The 5K course consists of two loops in the center of Bedford, and Joe will be running 20 of those. For more information about the course, please click here.
Note: Please Donate to the event directly, Joe is the only participant so the search participants is turned off.
Friends of Aine is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to help children and families grieving a death navigate their path to a hopeful future. Friends of Aine provides peer to peer support groups for grieving children and their families, and provides education resources to schools to help them know how to talk about grief with students. All of Friends of Aine's services are free, and are rapidly growing due to the increasing needs for services sadly because COVID deaths, opioid deaths and suicide deaths are all on the rise. Right now, the need for these services in our community is imperative to navigate the pandemic.
For those that have experienced a significant loss, Friends of Aine offers a peer to peer, activity based program focused on bereavement support tailored to children, teens and adults. Grief services are provided by trained professionals who understand the trauma and immense suffering they are going through. Thanks to the generosity of donors, there is no cost to families.
