Watch for the oversized, only marginally unstable looking tandem bike visiting all 13 villages of Newton (quick: name them....) independence day morn. More importantly, we will be raising money for newton food patries, which are doing great work providing food to the many many folks in need. Please donate.

Tour de Newton 2020 THE TOUR MUST GO ON
For the last eight years The Tour de Newton has gathered together hundreds of bike riders on Father's Day for a fun-filled, large scale bicycle event. This year, we’ve re-designed the Tour de Newton in light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of a large-scale event, we've designed a tour that can be ridden on your own or with members of your household. Bike Newton has put together a set of routes, including some classic tour routes, with something for every level of rider. Ride one or more of the routes sometime between June 21 – July 5, and sign up your family, friends, or neighbors to sponsor your ride – with all proceeds to go to the three Newton Food pantries – who need all our help due to the unprecedented demand in these difficult times. Ride with your family...Ride by yourself…ride for fun…ride for fun…but this year ride the Tour de Newton in service to your neighbors in need.
Bike Newton is a 501c (3) organization that promotes bicycling as a sustainable and inclusive means of transportation. We are 1800 members strong and growing. Our work includes advocacy for safer cycling and better bike infrastructure, partnering with organizations such as Safe Routes to School and MassBike and Green Newton, and running rides for fun and to help people improve their biking skills. We are taking a break from our advocating for safe streets to help support our neighbors struggling to put food on the table. Thank you for your help!
