This is my second year riding in the King Challenge, even though this is my 10th year as Executive Director at Krempels Center. It took me a long time to get the courage to ride because before last year, I was not a cyclist. At all. I didn’t even own a bike. But now, I love everything about cycling - being outdoors in the fresh air, taking in the beautiful roads of the seacoast, and getting a great workout without even knowing it. But my favorite part about every ride is knowing I am training with a goal in mind: to ready myself for this great fall fundraiser for Krempels Center, an organization that I am so proud to be a part of. I am riding for the brain injury survivors I interact with every day at Krempels Center, whose lives are immeasurably improved by a community of friendship and support as they navigate their changed world. I am also riding for those who need Krempels Center who aren't here yet, to ensure this great organization is here when they need it. I'm so excited to be able to participate in this joyful ride with the wonderful cycling community, knowing I am making a difference. Thank you, both for myself, and for the people in our community at Krempels Center who need this life-changing program. I will be thinking of you and our members on October 20th as I once again ride the King Challenge.
