I'm taking on the Foster 100 and I need your help. The 2020 Foster 100 will be a 100 mile virtual cycling event held in honor of Captain Erick Foster, who was killed in action. All of the proceeds benefit wounded veterans through Team Foster, a charity dedicated to ensuring there is No Hero Left Behind. In 2016, Team Foster's primary mission is sponsoring service dogs to partner with injured veterans suffering from PTSD and related disabilities.
The challenge will be to ride independently and log at least 100 miles over seven consecutive days. My mission starts at 0000 hours (12:00 a.m.) on Monday, September 7, 2020 and finishes at 2359 hours (11:59 p.m.) on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Help support our wounded veterans and Team Foster as we take on the 100-mile challenge!

Foster 100
Team Foster is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in honor of Captain Erick Foster and dedicated to caring for wounded veterans - we want to ensure there is No Hero Left Behind.
Our focus for 2020 is sponsoring service dogs to partner with injured veterans suffering from combat related disabilities, including post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). we ensure these dogs are obtained, cared for and provided hundreds of hours of specialized training - all at no cost to our veterans.
Team Foster was founded in 2014 to honor our friend, Captain Erick Foster, was killed in action. Erick was an inspiration to many - he pushed himself and motivated everyone around him to be better people... to go a little farther, to give a little more. Team Foster carries on Erick's legacy by giving back to our service men and women who have sacrificed so much. To make sure there is No Hero Left Behind.
While service dogs are vital tools in the struggle against PTSD, they are also expensive and resource intensive. Just once service dog can take two years and upwards of $20,000 to train properly. Meanwhile, there is no assistance from the the Veterans Administration (VA), insurance companies or the government.
By supporting Team Foster, you can help fill that gap. You can make a difference in an injured veteran's life.

Team Foster is a 501(c)(3) charity organization founded to honor Captain Erick Foster though its mission: No Hero Left Behind. Team Foster fights for the unmet needs of injured and disabled Veterans by bringing together civilians, Veterans and highly trained service dogs.
We do this by:
- Helping Veterans obtain highly-trained service dogs they need at no cost,
- Providing grants for the unmet needs of Veterans and their service dog,
- Ensuring Veteran service dogs receive the highest quality training,
- Promote Awareness of Service-Related PTSD and TBI, and advocate for the long-term needs of our Veterans.
If your company or organization is interested in sponsoring Team Foster, please email us at [email protected] for opportunities.
Team Foster was founded in honor of Captain Erick Foster. A natural leader and a warrior, Erick pushed those around them to do more and to take care of their teammates.
Team Foster seeks to honor Erick's legacy by pushing ourselves and taking care of our teammates - the Veterans who have sacrificed so much on our behalf. Post-traumatic stress (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) are the signature wounds of post-9/11 warfare. Hundreds of thousand of Veterans have returned home afflicted with these invisible wounds. As a result, 20+ Veterans and military members lose their lives to suicide every day.
But there's hope: Service Dogs Save Lives.
Service dogs are an elegant solution to the complex symptoms of PTSD and TBI. An alternative to medications, these dogs have been proven over and over again to save the lives of our heroes. However, a properly trained and accredited service dog takes 2 years and costs over $25,000 to train. Team Foster fills this need and ensures that our Veterans receive the service dogs they need at no cost. We then partner with the Veteran to "watch their six" going forward by providing grants and additional support as needed.
