I normally do a lot of joking here, but I truthfully cannot joke about this. Teaching during a pandemic was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Teachers and families had to navigate remote learning, returning to school unsure of our safety, and manage the emotions and ups and downs of children dealing with this new normal.
Saint Col's was not only able to welcome children back in person and virtually for the entire year- they also helped to support teachers and did their best to help us feel safe.
My administration, families, most of all, my coworkers have worked tirelessly this year to make sure that these students had access to quality Catholic education- even during a pandemic.
The BC Race to Educate, our biggest and only fundraiser has been reengineered to be held virtually this year to ensure safe social distancing.
I feel so blessed everyday to work in such a supportive, community-centered environment, with students and staff who love coming to work each day. I believe in this school and its mission, and I would so appreciate it if you would support the school by donating, or running with me!
This year our goal is to raise $150,000. Funds raised for the BC Race to Educate support programs and services ensuring that all students at Saint Columbkille receive a high-quality Catholic education.
