Dear Friends,
On Saturday, August 18, 2012 riding for The Pia Lord Company I will bike up Mount Washington, a 7.6 mile all-uphill race to the summit of the highest peak in the northeastern United States. The Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb is the largest annual fundraiser for Tin Mountain Conservation Center. I will try to raise awareness for the environment and for childhood literacy in the process.
Help support me in my training efforts by making a donation on this page. Most of all come out and support all the riders on the day of the hill climb. This is one challenging event but then again so is children's literacy and our efforts to preserve and protect our Earth from further harm and changes which are a road to no return.
You can help me support a great environmental organization, Tin Mountain Conservation Center, which has provided environmental education to over 75,000 students, campers and individuals throughout schools and communities in Northern New Hampshire and western Maine for over 30 years. Funds go to Tin Mountain Conservation Center.
Hope to see you on the road uphill to Mt Washington in New Hampshire. Also check out www.pialord.com for great books to read to your kids.
Read everyday!
All the best!
Pia Lord
