Hi - and welcome to my fundraising page! I'm participating in Salem Animal Rescue League's SARLympics 2021. This year's event is a 5K fundraising walk on Saturday, June 19th. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for abandoned and neglected animals in Southern New Hampshire and the Merrimack Valley.
As most of you know, I've been volunteering at SARL since I retired last year doing everything from dog care to data input and stuffing envelopes, to event planning. SARL is a no-kill animal shelter. We believe in providing a safe haven, compassionate care, and new permanent homes for all. We vow to help every animal we can - those suffering from disease or injury, those who face discrimination because of their breed, and especially those whose only chance for a happy ending is us.
We lost our granddog, Dug, last December. For almost eleven years, he was my good buddy and CSO (Chief Security Officer) at MN & Company. My work at SARL is dedicated to his memory. I'm hoping to raise a minimum of $250 from pledges, so please consider making a donation. Any amount, $5, $10, $25, whatever you can afford, will help me reach my personal fundraising goal. SARLympics 2021
The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) saves the lives of abandoned, neglected and injured animals by providing a safe haven, compassionate care and new permanent homes for them.
On Saturday, June 19, SARL will host the 2021 SARLympics, a 5K Fundraising Walk starting at its Salem, NH campus and following the adjacent rail trail starting at 10 AM. After the 5k, SARL will host a cookout and lots of other fun activities, games, raffles, and more. Walkers are welcome to bring their leashed dogs for the walk and post-walk festivities. The on-site walk will be COVID-compliant.
To make the SARLympics accessible to everyone, participants may also join virtually by doing a 5K walk, run, or bike ride on their own at the location of their choice.
SARLympics 2021 participants will be competing for prizes as Top Fundraisers AND for "Most Enthusiasm", so please support our walkers as they raise funds and awareness for animals in need! You can follow along with fundraising updates on this page, and also watch the event unfold on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Let the games begin!
