Welcome to my JDRF ODRAM fundraising page!
As you may know, 2 years ago I rode 145 miles on the One Day Ride Across Michigan and raised funds to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. This outstanding organization is the world's largest non-profit funder of research into Type 1 Diabetes. The advances in treating this condition over the years are astounding, yet so much is yet to be learned with the hope that one day there will be a cure for this condition.
In 2019 I rode in honor of 2 amazing friends who overcame the obstacles presented by Type 1 Diabetes to live active and highly productive lives. Thanks to the great generosity of many friends, I was one of the leading fund raisers.
Sadly, this year I will ride in memory of Marla Birnbaum, MD. Marla was my medical school classmate and good friend. Despite multiple diabetes complications, she became a specialist in Endocrinology and spent her career teaching at St. Louis University School of Medicine. She remains a great inspiration to me.
If you are so inclined, I would welcome any donation you may wish to make. No contribution is too small!
Please check back to view my fundraising progress as my ODRAM weekend approaches. Thank you for your support.
