Dear Friends,
On November 20, I plan to ride my bicycle 102 miles in the 38th annual El Tour de Tucson (https://eltourdetucson.org/). As you all know, I’ll gladly ride 102 miles on my bike for no reason at all, but this year I’ve decided to ride with the Rotary International team (http://www.PledgeReg.com/297444) and to raise funds for polio eradication, Rotary International’s signature project over the last three decades. The team’s goal is to raise $3.4 million at El Tour de Tucson. The funds are matched 2-to-1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. You can help achieve this goal by visiting my fundraising page (http://www.PledgeReg.com/297444) and making a contribution.
This year I believe Rotary’s goal is especially relevant, as the pandemic has illustrated how critically important immunization is for protecting people’s health. Rotary’s long-term investment in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative has also been vital in helping the world respond to COVID-19. The effort that is going into ending polio is providing a blueprint for the global response to other preventable diseases, and a vital part of our ability to detect and stop future pandemics.
Please join me in supporting this important cause. I appreciate any and all donations, which can be made direction on the fundraising page (http://www.PledgeReg.com/297444). Thank you for your consideration.
-Dave
