On Saturday, August 17, 2019, my son Conner and I will bike up Mount Washington, a 7.6 mile all-uphill race to the summit of the highest peak in the northeastern United States. We will be wearing our William Blake Marston Trident Tour jerseys to honor the legacy of our fallen Navy SEAL hero. SO1 Marston loved his home state of NH and spent plenty of time on and around this mountain. What we are about to undertake, many consider the steepest cycling race in the world.  VeloNews dubbed the event a Ride of a Lifetime. The Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb is the largest annual fundraiser for Tin Mountain Conservation Center.

Mount Washington is also home to the worst weather ever recorded on earth. The highest non-tornadic wind speed ever recorded on earth was at the summit of Mount Washington at 231mph. Hurricane force winds are present 100 days a year on average. This is part of what makes Mount Washington the toughest bicycle climb in the world.

Please help us support Blake's legacy as well as a great environmental organization, Tin Mountain Conservation Center (TMCC), which has provided environmental education to over 75,000 students, campers, and individuals throughout schools and communities in Northern New Hampshire and western Maine for over 33 years.
