Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.
Hello and welcome to my 2022 Mount Washington mountain run to raise funds and support Northeast Delta dental, The largest network of dentists in the Northeast. To support rural health care.
I am currently training hard in order to run 7.6 Miles uphill on June 18 to the highest peak in North East, Gorham, New Hampshire Forest Woodlands. Mount Washington has a peak of 4650 vertical feet with a 22% maximum grade.
I am a keen runner who has done considerable hill running on Mount Greylock over the years. Mount Washington is double in size compared to Mount Greylock, so it will continue to be the hardest uphill race I have ever done to date. I expect this race to be very mentally and physically challenging but indeed the hardest mountain to climb is within. I won’t stop when I’m tired, I’ll stop when I’m done.
I hope I can make people supporting me proud, and I am confident I can do a good job. All proceeds raised will go to a great cause. I can’t move mountains but maybe I can move you to support my effort and determination.
Anything difficult like this is an opportunity for me to rise to the occasion, and I intend to rise to the summit of mount Washington on June 18 however hard the route will be.
Thank you for your support
Miss Christine Tower
2022 Delta Dental Mount Washington Road Race
After many years of support, Northeast Delta Dental became the title sponsor of the Mount Washington Road Race in 2012. Since then, the strong partnership between Northeast Delta Dental and the Mt. Washington Auto Road, bolstered by the Auto Road’s ongoing commitment to local communities, has resulted in annual donations totaling over $175,000 to Coös County Family Health Services (CCFHS).
CCFHS is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of North Country residents, regardless of income or insurance status.
“The support we’ve received from Northeast Delta Dental and the Mt. Washington Auto Road has made it possible for us to provide dental care for many North Country residents who would have otherwise gone without,” said Ken Gordon, chief operating officer at CCFHS.
CCFHS has been helping to provide families with affordable health care since 1974, and has grown to become one of the largest rural Federally Qualified Health Centers in northern New England.
Our goal for 2022 is to raise $50,000 for rural dental care north of Pinkham Notch. Run for health!
We're a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of North Country residents, regardless of income or insurance status. We offer a broad range of health and social services to children and adults including primary care, pediatrics, women's health, podiatry, behavioral health, oral health, and programs that address the needs of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Words really can't express our deep appreciation for your support. Over the years, these dollars have made an incredibly positive impact on the lives of hundreds of area residents. As in past years, we'll use the funds to provide care for those without dental insurance. We will also dedicate some of these dollars to support our work with children enrolled in the local Headstart (pre-school) Program. — Ken Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of Coös County Family Health Services.
