Last year, Bridge of Flowers' participants raised over $4,000 towards Forest Moon's free retreats and workshops in the Pioneer Valley. This year, Forest Moon hopes to raise $5,000! With your help we can make this happen. Join our team on August 11 in Shelburne Falls, MA to run/walk a 10K/3K and fundraise with us or donate to support your favorite Forest Moon BOF participant/runner. Any amount helps! We believe that all cancer survivors and their loved ones need and deserve support to return to joyous and fulfilling lives after a diagnosis.
Please join Forest Moon: Celebrating Cancer Survivorship at the 2012 Bridge of Flowers 10K/3K! You can help us continue and expand our free retreats and workshops to support the emotional journey of cancer survivors in rural western MA, VT, and NH! Forest Moon is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and has served over 1,000 individuals since 2006. Please consider making Forest Moon your charity of choice for the 2012 Bridge of Flowers Classic Races! Every dollar makes a difference.
At our center on Locust Street in Northampton, people living with cancer, their families and caregivers can meet one-on-one in a comforting and welcoming environment with staff or volunteers. We also host support groups that offer coping strategies and emotional support. Other services include integrative therapies (Reiki, reflexology, acupuncture, massage and guided imagery), programs and workshops including creative arts and exercise classes that focus on relieving physical and emotional stress and building physical and emotional strength.
Cancer Connection offers programs and support free of charge for men, women and children living with a cancer diagnosis, their families and friends. You are welcome to attend as many programs as you would like, based on space availability. We offer additional classes and workshops in the spring and fall. You can call our center and ask to be added to the mailing list for our next program guide.
Priority for our programs is given to those currently in treatment along with their family and caregivers. All programs, unless noted, are held at Cancer Connection:
